A Family of churches serving Christian, Stone, & Taney

Missions and Ministries

Shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the Word of Life.

This has certainly been a summer of being able to shine like stars through our many mission endeavors:

Children's Camp was one of those activities.  There were 60 boys and girls, grades 3-5 at Baptist Hill,
     with 14 decisions for Christ.

Summer resort missions in the RV parks and resorts has seen 232 volunteers and 388 children in the daily
activities of the days camps with 15 decisions for Christ have been noted.

Five of our churches hosted mission teams to assist in the leadership of Vacation Bible Schools.  There were
17 professions of faith reported.  A couple of these churches had their biggest VBS in several years.
     Praise the Lord!

It was a blessing to be able to partner with The Hiding Place in Forsyth and Kids' Across America in
Golden MO doing clean up, sheet rock hanging, building fence, tearing up carpet, painting and some
     other projects.

** I will add that if you have a church group that needs mission projects you can make contact with Caroline Daniels at The Hiding Place and she always has projects to be done.  She is a great ministry partner.  It was great being able to serve in these two places.

Summer missionaries have worked hard and have allowed God to work through them in a mighty way.  Weather has been so hot and humid but they still put their best foot forward to beat the heart and out there about the Father's business.

  • Pray for Children's Camp as preparation has already begun.  Have had some volunteers step up to take over the food preparation and kitchen work.
Excitement in that area is a blessing to me as I have prayed about this the last two years.

  • Pray for churches to realize the importance of sending children to church camp.  Children are sent to every kind of a camp you can think of to learn new skills in different areas of sports activities, but the things they learn at church camp from God's Word will last them for a lifetime!
We have such a great camp!!!

  • Pray for our summer missionaries as they will be preparing to return to their respective colleges and universities.  Pray they may see God in the choices they need to make and that positions in their field will open up to them.

Pray for churches as they do follow up with children that attended their VBS and families will be reached for Christ and the church.
** PLEASE LET ME ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO A FOLLOW-UP!

God is good and our mission need is to share with people outside our church walls about their need for Jesus and encourage them to accept him.
