The Mission House


The purpose of the Mission House is to strengthen churches by providing affordable short-term lodging and meeting space for Christian workers--extending the Kingdom by serving those who serve.  The Mission House is not a hotel, but a ministry of the churches of the Tri-County Baptist Association, comprised of Southern Baptist Churches in Christian, Stone and Taney County, Missouri.

Where is the Mission House located?  

The Mission House is located on the campus of the College of the Ozarks in Hollister, Missouri, just minutes from downtown Branson and the entertainment district; historic downtown Hollister; Lake Taneycomo, Table Rock Lake and Bull Shoals Lake.

Who may use the Mission House?

The Mission House is not a hotel, but a place for Christian workers to find short-term, low-cost, clean and comfortable lodging as a part of their service to the Lord and His Church. In keeping with the Mission House's purpose, the following groups may use the Mission House: 

  • Mission groups
  • Church groups and staffs desiring “off campus” space for retreats or meetings
  • Senior Pastors and associate pastors, their spouses and children
  • Visiting missionaries and denominational workers
  • Conference speakers who are speaking at a Tri-County church or ministry event
  • PLEASE NOTE: priority is given to mission groups, speakers and pastors serving in TCBA churches


What is the cost?

  • Tri County pastors and spouses: no charge.  We ask that a donation be made to help offset cleaning cost.
  • Tri-County churches and groups: 
                Regular Bedrooms: $10 per night
                Studio Apartment: $15 per night
                We also ask that a donation be made to offset the cleaning cost
  • Non Tri County churches and groups, pastors, Christian workers: 
                Regular Bedrooms: $25 per night
                Studio Apartment: $30 per night
                Refundable Deposit: $200
                We also ask that a donation be made to offset the cleaning cost
  • Children ages 5 and under: no charge. 
  • Children (under age 18) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

How long can I stay? 

Seven nights maximum. 

What are the facilities?

Five motel room type accommodations, all with private baths

  • Three rooms with a queen bed and twin bed
  • Two rooms with two queen beds
  • One 1-bedroom studio apartment with queen sized bed,  sitting area, kitchenette, and full bath
  • Large furnished common area for relaxation or meetings
  • Full kitchen with appliances, microwave, cooking utensils, flatware, plates, bowls, and glasses
  • Laundry facilities
  • Wireless internet
  • Flat screen TV and DVD player in common area

We ask that payment and deposits be submitted 2 weeks prior to your stay.

  • Your reservation is not confirmed until you have received notice from TCBA, either by email, letter or phone call.
  • We are unable to reimburse guests or groups for unused rooms after the reservation is confirmed and payment is received.
  • Preference in reservations will be given to TCBA churches and pastoral staff. All other reservations will be considered on a first-come, first served basis.

Please note:

  • Bed linens and towels are provided.
  • No one but persons listed on the registration form will be permitted to stay at the Mission House at Point Lookout. 
  • You are responsible for your children at all times. Please be considerate of other guests.
  • Guests should report to TCBA any needed repairs.
  • The following is NOT PERMITTED - NO EXCEPTIONS: pets, alcohol, tobacco in any form, illegal drugs, firearms, BB guns, and fireworks or other related items.
